Xfd Gui

Hi.
Was there ever a GUI frontend created/released for XFD? I don't mind using CLI, but I would prefer a nice frontend instead.

Thanks

Yes I do remember one, I believe it used a MagicWB GUI style, but it has been 12 years, so excuse my lack of more details!

i used XPK Knight in the past, a really good GUI with lot of feature : http://aminet.net/package/util/pack/xpk-Knight_105

mmmh shit it was for XAD so give a try to http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/Voodoo-X

grrrr... i've shit in my eyes... for XFD i used xfddecrunch (CLI) otherwise i think i used "Pro-Decruncher" i can't find it on aminet, i attach it.

If you want to rip files from game, there's an EXCELLENT tools http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/Track2File by Mr.Larmer/Wanted Team (R.I.P.) it can rip files from disk, recognize XAD/XFD and depack them
Attached Files
File Type: zip Pro-Decruncher.zip (14.9 KB, 304 views)

I think XPKatana is a good choise for unpacking files.
It also unpacks files, using xfdmaster.library and his slaves.
http://aminet.net/util/pack/XPKatana.lha

For my own, i like "Afilter", it unpacks all files using xad, xfd, xpk libraries and recognize files (Pictures, music).

Trying to get abd.pk file unpacked!

So the readme says unpack or decompress this to the data directory in AB3D to, presumably, enable the music. BUT I am having no kjoy with this. I believe I have downloaded the correct version of XFD off Aminet (xfdmaster.lha) but it doesn't seem to recognise abd.pk as an appropriately packed file.

Can anyone help please?

As i have said, it works with XFD.
Any special reason to have "abd.pk" unpacked?

I'm clearly missing something and not for the first time as I is only a novice Amiga user. I assumed the readme was telling me that I need to unpack the abd.pk file using XFD to the data folder but I've given up totally now after finding in the totally awesome KillerGorilla's WHD packs a version of AB3D with music.

I tried a version (I think!?!?!?) that had a modified routine for using the mouse with the game but it didn't feel right for me so am not too bothered about missing out on that.
