CF and IDE interface speed A500/A1200

Hi,
I'm wondering why I get so different speed ratings in SysInfo:
A1200 Blizz 1230/IV, 68030/50, CF 8GB SFS gives 1.7MB/s
A500 TF534, 68030/40, CF 4GB FFS gives 0.7MB/s

I'm not using the same adapters, but the adapter shouldn't cause it? File system maybe? I also doubt it could make so significant difference.

As I recall, also my plain A600 with normal HDD 2.1GB gives the lower result.

So, I have no idea how to interpret this?!
Any hints? Thanks!

SysInfo is not the best tool for measuring... a bit better is SysSpeed...

If I remember right the TF534 needs the MMULib to speed up the system...
