I seem to be having an issue trying to play the game. I am new to my amiga 1200, so I have no idea what this means. But it says there is a boot block error. Asks if I want to open the boot block lab, in which it says it's an unknown boot block. Booting straight to the adf I get a software error. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Try writing to another floppy disk, might be there was a problem with your disk and the bootblock (which is essential) wasn't written properly.

The fact Boot Block Lab doesn't recognise it is of no consequence as its a new release and unless someone has added the bootblock, it of course wouldn't recognise it.

Try another download of the ADF file in question, pretty sure lots of others are using Goteks and have no issues, so I would presume the file is corrupted somehow.

I kind of did. I tried a download from
https://hoffman.home.blog/metal-gear/,
and his link on
https://h0ffman.itch.io/metalgear-amiga

I had the same results both times.

I would love to know how you get on with that. The samples for the music are a shared bank so will take some piecing together.

It's probably the current bootblock. New version is done which is much better across different system and memory configs. Just running some more tests before releasing v1.1

I suppose this could have been a nice testbed for AmigaKlang too

I'm playing on my A1200/040 with CD32 pad clone. Sometimes menu with LOAD/SAVE options pops up with no reason (I don't push button which calls it). Will this be fixed in version 1.1?

Hey PopoCop

I believe this is a hardware issue with your clone pad.

I'm using Jotd's CD32 pad read code which as far as I understand should be solid. Tests have been done with a genuine CD32 pad, KTRL CD32+ and the Competition Pro CD32 pad and all have been working great.

I can confirm that it works for me with a CD32 pad and with a PSX pad to CD32 converter. All buttons work and I don't get the options menu pop up without pressing the button.
