CDTV Controller Mapping

Hi Guys,

What's the correct Game Ports setting for CDTV? I see the CDTV Remote Mouse referenced, but not the CDTV Remote Control. My goal is to map the D-Pad and A & B buttons...

Default
Wheel Mouse
Mouse
Joystick
Gamepad
Analog Joystick
CDTV Remote Mouse
CD32 Pad
Light Pen

Thanks!

CDTV controller in joystick mode is exactly same as normal 2-button joystick. CDTV has internal hardware that makes the pad appear as normal joystick, software can't detect the difference.

CDTV Mouse was only added because there is at least one CDTV game that is only playable when using CDTV pad in mouse mode. Mouse mode = mouse moves with constant speed when direction button is pressed.

Nothing special is needed because CDTV pad hardware in CDTV "emulates" joystick/mouse/keyboard in hardware level.

A and B should be same as joystick fire button and second fire button (or left mouse and right mouse).

Trying an orginal Xenon 2 CDTV cd on winuae.

What are you exactly trying to do? (I think you are trying to do something that isn't needed)

All CDTV games should work with normal Amiga mouse or joystick. There is no need to emulate CDTV pad because pad works in hardware level. CDTV pad is exactly same as joystick or a mouse.

Note that CD32 pad is very different than CDTV pad. CDTV pad equals 2 button mouse or 2 button joystick with some extra buttons that simulate key presses in hardware level. CD32 pad extra buttons need CD32 pad specific read routines. CDTV pad does not.
