Hello,

is there a command or a tool that is able to set the time for all files within a folder/subfolder to the current time ?

Kind of like the "touch" command on posix shells?

Thank you very much.

This is the command I searched for. if I have multiple files/directory or even I want to use SetDate for recursive files/directories ?

How would I do that ?

I'm pretty sure setDate only sets the system clock. It's not what you're looking for if that's the case.

In order to set the clock you need to use SetClock. SetDate seems to be set the time to the current date and "SetDate #? ALL" sets it for every file in every subdir.

SetDate can also set day, date and time to a file

SetDate is perfectly suitable here, it doesn't only set the system clock. It can easily set the time too.

Edit: Posted at the same time as AmigaSystem.

SetDate sets the time and date of a file.
Date displays or sets the time and date of the system clock.
SetClock reads or sets the time and date of the battery backed clock (which runs independently of the system clock and is read only once at boot time)
Time is the GUI to set the date and time of the system clock and/or the battery backed clock.
Clock is a simple GUI to show the time as an analogue or digital clock.
