ROM-blower advice
Hello all,
Could peeps recommend potential ROM-blowers for the hobbyist. Hoped-for list of features: -Some flexibility Various sizes of DIP and PLCC packages (E)EPROM and FlashROM -Able to read / write PALs / GALs Any cleaver ones that can read regardless of protection settings? -Reading / Writing PICs would be nice -Non *NIX-based software Sorry, I just can't get on with *NIX-based OS's -Other sensible features? -Um, cough, not too expensive. Planned Use: Well, reading / writing (E)EPROMs / FlashROMS from various (mostly retro) systems. and Reading / writing PALs / GALs too. so I can roll my own system/OS ROMs and take the next step in making my own hardware - that would include de-constructing old designs, hence the PAL/GAL reading/writing capability. (Hmmm, I wonder if one write a simple IDE controller in software using a PIC, rather than using discrete logic/PALs/GALs?) THANK YOU! |
