Twenty years old Amiga game controllers and one new

About a month ago, I realized that all my joysticks are at least twenty years old. I have 14 different joysticks, one of them is not in picture. So I decided that it is time to start protecting them.

I found new joypads from DealExtreme, price was about 3,5€, so really cheap

I ordered two.

Here is a picture of it.

So how good is joypad wich cost 3,5€

Well I tested it some half an hour, it is OK, perfectly useable. No flaws that would prevent using it. Picture doesn't tell that is quite small and so are buttons.

It's a clone of 6 button Mega Drive controllers. Do you have an original so that you can compare the two?

I don't have original Sega controller. All joysticks types I have are in table, exept one huge driving wheel.

I got 2 of those cheap joypads of ebay last week, but for some reason they do not work in my A600? My genuine sega joypad works fine it though.

Your game pads must be diffent? These are from dealextreme

They say the DB9 connector from this el-cheapo pad is too hard and can break the Amiga ports.

It was thight, but not that tight

it fits quite easily. Could it be that there are several different same looking pads?

The DealExtreme controllers are alright, but the original Sega ones are much higher quality. I've still got 6-button Sega controllers that work perfectly, but have broke the D-pads in several of these DX ones so far. Thankfully they're cheap enough, and last for a few months before they break, and I'm sure the cords can be used to replace the old cords with broken wires in my older controllers.
