‘Banshee CD32’ Controls Issue
Great game but there seems to be a major controller issue with the CD32 install making the game unplayable. (ie. down = move right, diag down right = move left, right = down). Tested multiple emulation setups incl ROMs, RAM, JIT etc etc Waiting for some feedback from A.Bill tests on real HW + TF…
Apologies if already a thread… tried to use the WHDLoad bug report page but wouldn’t submit. Thanks, ~aZt Last edited by aZtOcKdOg; 25 January 2023 at 02:57. |

Just tried Slave v3.3 on my A1200 with a CD32 pad. Controls are fine, no problems with the directions.
edit: But in WinUAE my configured CD32 pad doesn't work with any directions, only the buttons seems to work. Last edited by Retro-Nerd; 23 January 2023 at 16:36. |

‘Banshee CD32’ Controls Issue

Banshee AGA or Banshee CD32 ? The AGA one is fine with all controllers The ‘Banshee CD32’ (ie when installing from CD32 iso) seems to have the controller bug [EDIT] oops just saw your updated post Last edited by aZtOcKdOg; 25 January 2023 at 02:57. |

Just tested in WinUAE again. Ingame the directions behaves as you've described.
And stupid me: I tested indeed the AGA disk version, the CD32 installed WHDLoad version has broken controls on real harware too. Last edited by Retro-Nerd; 23 January 2023 at 16:54. |

‘Banshee CD32’ Controls Issue
Thanks for the prompt replies! Ok so it is something conflicting in the WinUAE codebase (I think I have seen something re CD32 port reading is unique to the CD32?) as every other emu / platform is broken too!
Thanks again… I spent a few days testing etc etc Ofcourse running the iso in emulation works fine just to make things interesting lol Last edited by aZtOcKdOg; 25 January 2023 at 02:56. |

Read my edit again. I was too stupid to start the correct version. It has broken controls in the CD32/WHDLoad version on real hardware too.

Should be an easy fix for JOTD. He perfected his CD32 pad read code in the last few years.
