What a sad year for Amiga demos and intros in Revision.
They need to bring back the live event. This is all time low. 4 entries for the demo compo! 1 demo lasted for a few sec. and the other 3 where just ok. Is the Amiga scene almost dead? |

I can unfortunately do nothing about it.
Covid seams to almost killed the Amiga scene. At least TEK is keeping it alive. For Revision this year I liked the 4k Amiga intro "Hex Junkie" At least 1 bright point. Soul Strain was also good but to short for a real demo. Last edited by nikosidis; 18 April 2022 at 00:48. |

Yeah I was gutted. I was pretty much burned out after last year (doing average amiga intros is actually quite stressful ) and haven't touched assembler since, but damn - that was a bad look for amigaaaaa! I need get out of my head and just code again even though I have a bad opinion of myself.

We have to give the other platforms a chance for at least one year…

I think that demo ranked way to low in Gerp 2020. Hope to see you doing something again |

I think covid weariness, and worry about war kicking off elsewhere has got to everyone. A lot of the demo's touched on Ukraine. Hopefully revision will be business as usual next year and we will see a major uptick.

Logicoma for me was the best intro, something much different to what I was expecting .. not a bar of drum n bass either
That said I did like Ham's demo to, just nothing innovative and thats what demos are about no? |

It's a shame Revision was mostly disappointing this year. Next year should be more demo packed as hopefully the party will be in person again. You could see on the stream how much the fact Revision being online again has bummed people out.
At least Gerp 2022 had two or three strong amiga entries and had a couple of big names contributing. There are still a few smaller Demo parties to look forward too later in the year as well, so fingers crossed we'll see some more unexpected gems appear from them. |

I like Planet Jazz a lot, it has a great atmosphere and in general is enjoyable I'm a music guy so I can't say anything about compos or the code but to me that is not a crucial part of the experience. I just want to be entertained Looking forward to seeing more from you! |

Had been to Revision 2018, and the atmosphere there was crazy amazing.
That said, I can fully understand that scene coders hold back their full scale entries for the time when the "real thing" can happen again. |
