In GOALnewXIV.zip I redesigned the spanish league with all new information. It should be more realistic now.

GOALnewXV.zip contains a new bonus team for the spanish league

I gave away a disk with some rubbish teams at first, which was unintended, I fixed that now. Just some personal teams I play the leagues with but not good for this compilation, sorry for that.

Let me explain to you one reason why I had to make GOALnewXVII.zip:

Mehmed Bazdarevic was assigned number 4 by Dino Dini and I thought he would fit into defence, at least because I found a damaged webpage that claimed him to be a defender. But all wrong, he is a playmaker and I now put him in central midfield. Numbers in Goal! are sometimes a bit weird and misleading.

Just one reason and you see the problems I am facing. I just keep up uploading the versions as they arise, I don´t know when that´s all gonna be ready, I keep on searching the web and media and learn more and more.

Last time I read a review match report in a sports magazine really interesting and learned new information that I didn´t even search for.

Have fun! The gameplay is still stunning even in comparison to modern titles.

GOALnew20 is in The Zone!

It features a few more bonus teams, corrected errors I still found and has a new face lift on the data names. There is also minor corrections to the german language file. Of course it still features corrected tactics.

Edit: And now GOALnew21 available!
I have been working on Bundesliga with new criteria.

14.08.: GOALnew22.zip

And again uploaded next version of GOAL-zak-data. After some test playing, I found out that Brazil and Argentina need stronger goalkeepers to be more competitive (and realistic).

Hello benvelor,

GOAL-zak-data is still in the Zone and I reuploaded GOALnew22, if you missed it.

Many teams still not have original numbers, but it´s hard to get good videos to see those. So there is still potential for future updates, depending on what they upload on Youtube.

After some period of time, I made GOALnew23.zip. Some new interpretations to the original lineups.

Edit: And now GOALnew24 out and uploaded.

Edit2: And latest update today is GOALnew25.

4 years after starting this thread, I am about to give up the project. Everytime I do a search, I find something new, even after so many years.

It´s simply impossible to get acope with thousands of football players
You got a lineup right around, and then you find out, that someone is left footed or too tall for the wings or too small for the centre and so on and so on.

And hardly anyone is interested in Goal!, not even Dino Dini who I tried to get in touch with, without success. He would just ignore me.

This is the best game of my life, but I´ll have to get back to a state where I ignore the lineups and just play soccer.

I am really disappointed and frustrated right now. I think about just deleting all my work and forget about it.

I made up my mind. This game is too important for me, although there are hardly any fans. I will continue, be it for years to come.

If someone will accidentally read this (where did the 12,000 views come from?), my question is, what it would take to make an official Hall Of Light version out of this.

I want a corrected Goal!. Period.
