Midnight Resistance (brighter) in .adf ?

just noticed this old thread about a palette fix whdload slave :

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=48790

i'm wondering if an .adf could be made from that release?

also, what about the other darker-looking miggy games, like the Dinamic ones (ie After the war), you think that method could be applied also on other titles?

Sorcery + on the miggy is also affected by a dark palette too.

EDIT a couple (not all lol) games affected, despite not so darker like Midnight Resistance :

found also an After the War whdload palette fix thread :
https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=64700

does the youtube longplays have been made from the whdload release, or just with an extra bright crt setting?

If you are using WinUAE then there's a "Dark palette fix" setting. Go to the "Display" section, click the "Brightness" drop-down menu and move the slider accordingly.

That YouTube longplay; it's using the .ADF. You can tell as the title screen doesn't move on after a second like with the WHDLoad version.

late reply
yes, i know how to change brightness/contrast/gamma via winUAE
i was thinking to real hardware, in future i would like to set up again my A500 1MB (or the 1200 that i also have)
adding so much contrast to my old crt default value is not great, imo shortens his already short remaining life lol
101% winUAE atm

---

found another obscure palette game, compared to the ST version :
Superman the man of steel
EDIT the HOL images are absolutely brighter than real

mostly nostalgic reasons

in reality i have winUAE set for adf's in general, and fsUAE with the WHDLoad set , CD32 and HD images;
but i also like to test a lot of different memory/kickstart configurations with each game (a fun in the fun, impossible to do at the time), so that's another reason.

if you think that i would like to load the Amiga game on PC, loading it with a floppy drive... i'm old

if you meant on real hardware, because i don't have hdd and extra ram, just default hardware
