Pi 4/4000 HDMI no sound, no wi-fi and joystick
Hello, looks like I definitely need some help. I tried to drop on Chris Pimiga Discord but looks like I was ignored completely. Anyway, a foreword:
1. I played a lot with some early Lockdown Edition 2. I played a lot with 1.4 Edition All that times I used same hardware Pi4 2Mb, same SD card, HDMI 3. I checked 1.5 readme file Initially there were no sound whatsoever with every build. But adding to command.txt file following snd_bcm2835.enable_headphones=1 snd_bcm2835.enable_hdmi=1 snd_bcm2835.enable_compat_alsa=0 and uncommenting hdmi_drive=2 in config.txt file fixed my problem with all previous builds, include 1.4 Also I set up wifi with 1.4 via raspi-config. Now I move to 1.5 and totally have no sound README says I need edit asound.conf I set up card 0 for HDMI - no sound I edit raspi-config selecting HDMI sound - no sound I moved to Pi 400 (it has no 3.5 mm sound device so only one options) - same, checked if card is 0 No sound I added that command to command.txt - no sound hdmi_drive=2 in config.file was already uncommented out of the box No sound _____________ Apart from that my Joystick (competition pro USB, worked fine with 1.4) - I can move stick with game, but fire does now work Or sometimes it works like backwards. Incorrect mapping? No idea Also I cannot update the build as adding SSID and password to raspi config gives me "cannot resolve host name" Burned 1.4 image - worked as intended. But it drops to Linux and have some major bugs. Please help. |

Alright, got is almost sorted
Just for those who may actually follow this So the key component was new sd card. The old one is fine, it still works fine with 1.4 But getting another one I was able to get the sound and Wi-Fi The sound was easy hdmi_drive=2 But I tried to set 21:9 with hdmi_drive=2 hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080 hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=87 hdmi_aspect_21_9=7 hdmi_pixel_freq_limit=400000000 hdmi_cvt=2560 1080 50 7 0 0 1 max_framebuffer_width=2560 max_framebuffer_height=1080 framebuffer_width=2560 framebuffer_height=1080 And while I didnt get 21:9 (guess it is hardcoded with Amiberry) I got the sound back Wi fi requires you to set to regional settings, and get the message "Region was set to #Your Region" After that I updated the build with sudo apt update/upgrade And it is now almost okay. Gonna fix that Speedlink joystick problem next |
