Floppy disk Dread Demo Dual Disk

I'm not sure this will be of interest, but I figured since some of the older Dread Patreon versions have been public for a while now there's no harm in posting this.

Attached is a dual format disk image with the same 2021 Dread demo for the Amiga and ST which I hacked-up a while back.

I think it should work with emulators, floppy emulators and can be 'burnt' to a real floppy as well.

A bit of a novelty perhaps.

Thank you for the disk image Works fine in WinUAE with the most common A500 quickstart (runs very nicely too)
I've also added the IPF to 'Non TOSEC IPFs' on Turran's server.

Probably a dual floppy with different content was used (old PD floppy disks). After deleting the files, they were replaced with Dreed game files.
I'm right?

Bingo! I did say it was a hack-up

The original disk was Zero March 1991, which was essentially OFS on one side and FAT12 on the other. I kept tracks 0 and 40 from the original disk.

You'll need something like a Kryoflux or GreaseWeazle probably.

I'd suggest a GreaseWeazle because it's cheap enough and IMHO easier to use plus, when writing a
.ipf
, it can verify what's been written.

I've not tried, but maybe if you only have a real Amiga with a floppy emulator (such as a Gotek or a HxC) then you could convert the
.ipf
to a
.hfe
, put that on you your floppy emulator, and attempt a nibble copy to a real disk using something like DCopy or XCopy?
I suspect that won't work, but could be worth a try?
