Somebody 'fixes' Quake's ending in 5-ish minutes and calls John Romero his bitch for it: [ Show youtube player ]

(it's a bit of clickbait on my end, but the video is actually quite fun to watch if you know a bit of coding )

The Computer Chronicles - Commodore 64 (1988): [ Show youtube player ]
Max Toy (god, I love that name ) president of Commodore at that time talking about the C64. It's fascinating and might explain why the Amiga 500 didn't do that well in the US.

I'm impressed - few things on this channel that have caught my eye but that is very different. I like it.

The Computer Chronicles - Amiga 3000 (1990): [ Show youtube player ]
One statement from the video: "Commodore suffered from the image of being a entertainment computer from the early days and then also from what we call the chicken and egg syndrome."

The Computer Chronicles - Slowdown in Silicon Valley #2: [ Show youtube player ]
Starting off with the 'new' Amiga & Atari ST. Quite interesting what was going on in the US computing market at the time the machines were launched.

i think that Computer Chronicles staff was in difficult to speak about Amiga, but also Atari ST because they used to use and to tell about professional computer like PC and Mac. Also they not sure in what kind of market Amiga could be esploited by, mainly professional business.
Amiga has been in prototype stage for 2 years (if i understood well) and maybe if it was on market 2 years before could be very different.

The opening of the second video is quite interesting in that regard. The (business) computer press seems to have 'ignored' the Amiga and in the first video we have one developer that expressed that developing for the Amiga would mean they couldn't develop for other machines (and that's why they decided to develop for the [easier] ST). Also that they show two (Amiga 500) games to show off the Amiga capabilities in the second video about the A2500 is quite telling.

A2500 was more professional than A500, but also the A1000, and ideal for serious things. A dream Amiga with accelerator cpu, SCSI, more RAM and Hardisk. For sure perfect for that business seen in the video
