Problem with Worms Directors Cut
Whenever I try to play Worms DC on my A1200 (Kick 3.0) I get a Software Failure after the game loaded disk 3. Does anybody know how I can solve this problem?

I had problems with Worms DC when I had my 1200. I can't remember the details but it was a low memory issue.

I never got Worms DC working. As far as I could gather from the documentation DC was actually an optional upgraded version of Worms for high memory machines.

Thanks everybody. Maybe I'll try buying a memory upgrade.

Yes there was a way to run it and I don't remember how :kill Probably, booting with no startup helps for the HD version. Does it run from floppies as well?

Hmmm
Worms and Worms DC were both written in Blitz Basic, so are very memory hungry.
The first Worms has a bug that if it detects the cd.device, it thinks its the CD32 version! |

Worms DC runs fine on my 1200 with 2mb fast ram and bog standard 3.0 kickstart.
Both from floppy and hard disk. This is with my original shop bought disks Drake:It wasnt so much upgraded for high memory machines, it was upgraded for AGA machines, plus it had new featues and lots of cool new weapons ![]() |

Sorry Bgbennyboy. I meant for machines with more memory than standard. I remember being able to get as far as the title screen before it crashed.

That's exactly my problem. It occurs as well when I start WormsDC from HD as when I try to boot it from disk.
