Mass edit find-replace text files

There are some repeating strings which I would like to translate easily among lots of documents.

For example I would like to be able to search in all documents and replace all instances of case sensitive NAME with AD selectively and preferably with a keyboard shortcut

Which text editor options do I have?

redit has such an option but it is a bit cumbersome.

CEd has a nice "Replace all" option, and you can automate it and even file loading etc with its recordable macros.

GeekGadgets was a good port of most of the Unix type tools. grep & sed are in there for sure.

Yes: http://aminet.net/util/cli/SED.lha For searching (grep and find), use C:Search.
