Long reboot time
I pulled my other A1200 out of storage and have an issue with booting up.
First off, no power light, but pushing on it connects so that is a simple issue. No matter if cold starting or resetting it takes about 25 seconds for an insert disk screen. If I attach Cf card ide drive, light comes immediately on and no boot or screen. How come? Last edited by Signman; 05 October 2017 at 21:54. |

Is it Kickstart 3.1? That will normally take quite a while to look for a floppy disk if there's no hard drive present. Other than that, if the floppy drive isn't responding it might delay things a bit.

This is normal on Kickstart 3.1 as long as you have no IDE device connected. The wait is even longer if you have no DF0: unit.
