The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 156 preview is now available to view online

This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 156 (May/June 2022) can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.
ATTENTION: We will try to send the issue in the first week of January again this year. I.e. the booklets are published over the turn of the year
already packed. So please order the issue as early as possible or remember to pay your subscription bills.

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Review ignition
Review Unithor Joystick
Special Demoscene

Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.

Needless to say you often get other versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Readers' cover CD.

A detailed description of content and excerpts of this current issue can be found at: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/kb/index?c=13

The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue is available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

Caution!

We ask all Amiga Future subscribers to check whether we have the current postal address and email address of you.
The Amiga Future will be packed and shipped a few days before the release date. We therefore need a change of address as soon as possible.
Important: Requests for forwarding normally do not work with magazines!

We also ask you to check whether any subscription bills have already been paid. Unfortunately, many subscription bills are currently still unpaid.

Amiga Future Archive DVD # 5 released some time ago

The Amiga Future Archive DVD # 5 has now been released at the 5 August 2021.

These are professionally mastered discs, so they include a colour image printed onto the upper surface of the DVD9 disc which contains over 6 GB of data. Even though it might not be a problem in principle, please make sure that your optical drive can read DVD9 discs.

You will also require a PDF viewer that can read at least 1.5 of the PDF standard.

On this Amiga Future Archive DVD # 5 you will find the following issues of the Amiga Future magazine as PDFs:

German: Amiga Future issues 11 - 142
English: Amiga Future issues 67 - 142

The issues 11 to 26 have needed to be scanned as the original articles text and image data was no longer available, which is not ideal, but was the only way to include these issues. So, unfortunately, their quality is not exactly perfect.
However, all the other issues, both German and English are actually very high quality PDFs.

Issue 11 was the first German Amiga Future issue that was published.
Issue 67 was the first English magazine of the Amiga Future.

So there are over 20 years of Amiga Future history on this DVD.

Sadly there is no way to offer an update option for purchases of earlier versions of the Amiga Future Archive DVD, which we trust you will understand.

Amiga Future Wanted #2:

Note: regarding our Wanted #1: We have now filled the position of demoscene editor.

However, the Amiga Future print magazine is now looking for an editor for our CD32 corner.

You must:

- be really familiar with the CD32.
- have an overview of the software and hardware available for the CD32.
- also be fully aware of what is currently being developed for the CD32.
- though no-one is perfect - articles should contain as few spelling mistakes as humanly possible.
- be able to set aside time to focus on it, which is a factor you should not under estimate!
- Of course, most important of all: make what you write really fun to read!

Please note our advertising partners

On the Amiga Future webpage we offer you a huge free content all about the Amiga.

Because the Amiga Future is a non-profit project, the Amiga Future homepage has to finance itself completely.
The homepage, which is currently around 30 GB in size, is funded without exception through advertising, donations and our own private funds.
Programming new extensions, databases or features really costs a lot.

At the top of the webpage there are several banners from our advertising partners. We also have advertising in the left navigation bar.

Through these web partners we finance the server and programming costs of the Amiga Future webpage.

We would be happy if you pay attention to this advertising and that will ensure that there is still enough advertising on the Amiga Future webpage to finance it adequately.

Amiga Future Promotion: Sample issue for 1 cent

Many Amiga users still don't know of the Amiga Future magazine. Sadly, all the events and fairs where you could have met magazine staff and looked through an Amiga Future issue have been cancelled this year. That's why we decided to offer you some sample issues.

We want you to become familiar with the magazine and feel the benefits it has to offer, so we hope you will consider ordering a subscription to the Amiga Future magazine.

Anyway, you can order a sample issue of the Amiga Future from our online shop https://www.amigashop.org for only 1 cent plus shipping costs. We are sure you understand that we need to charge shipping costs, as we're a hobby publisher.

The sample issue is merely an older regular issue of the Amiga Future.

Via the URL https://www.amigashop.org/product_in...roducts_id=321 you can choose to receive either the German or English sample issue.

We cannot estimate how great the interest might be in these sample issues, but in any case there is no time limit on this offer, but once the sample issues are no longer listed in the shop, all sold, then the campaign and being able to buy one of these samples, will end.

Here is a link to the information about the Amiga Future: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/info/

Do you know of any such person or can you actively help us in our search?
If so, then please contact us by email.

We are looking for extra support in order to revise the full versions download area of the Amiga Future webpage.
In particular, to check whether all those full versions formats (ADF, IPF, WHDLoad, AGA, CD releases, etc.) are complete.
In addition, a short description, in 2 sentences or less, about each of their system requirements and some screenshots need to be created.
If you want to help us, then please send us an email.

Pre-order the new Amiga Future issue now

The preview of the new Amiga Future has recently been online.

Now would be the ideal time to pre-order the new edition. Of course, only if you haven't already done so.

This is the fastest way to have the new Amiga Future magazine at home. The pre-orders are sent at the same time as the subscriptions.

Btw: Perhaps you'd prefer an annual subscription?

It couldn't be safer if you don't want to miss any issue of the magazine.
We only increased the print run of the Amiga Future some time ago, but at some point even this amount will no longer be sufficient.
Unfortunately, some users felt this shortly before the last increase in circulation. Of course that wasn't planned by us, but unfortunately there was no other way.

You can find the contents of the new Amiga Future and of course all of the already published booklets at the address ...

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/kb/index?c=13

Single issues can be ordered here: https://www.amigashop.org/index.php?cPath=23
And for the sake of clarity, you can order the subscriptions here: https://www.amigashop.org/index.php?cPath=41

Amiga Future: cheats database Update

The cheats database of Amiga Future is updated weekly by David Jahn, even if at first sight that is not immediately apparent.

The cheat database on the Amiga Future webpage is probably the largest German collection for the Amiga.

This doesn't just cover cheats, as many solutions, tips and tricks, as well as Freezer addresses can be found in the collection.

Don't forget you can find more than 3400 Games Cheats and solutions in the database, and there are always more being added.

The database is currently entirely in German, but if we receive enough donations for the website, we have plans to integrate a full-blown online database, which will also be available in English.

APC&TCP has now been active for 30 years

APC&TCP has now been active for 30 years

The APC&TCP computer club was founded more than 30 years ago, do any of you know exactly when?

As one of the largest Amiga clubs worldwide, the question of how to better support all the programmers in the club came up relatively quickly. As our members produced some really good programs and games, but they all voiced their opinion that they weren't very happy with the commercial contracts that were offered by major publisher. After long deliberations, APC&TCP sales was founded in May 1992.

The main task of sales was to market the club members' software as effectively as possible.

The first software titles released through APC&TCP were; Databench and 1990. Other titles such as Kargon, Jaktar, Flyin High, Pinball Brain Damage, and many others, followed on relatively quickly by even more. More recently, APC&TCP has released software titles for the Amiga such as Roadshow, CygnusED, RESHOOT R, Tiny little Slug, Trap Runner, and there are other products that are already in their 'starting blocks'.

Some time ago a shareware series was released, which comprised of a few dozen shareware titles that were marketed here by club members. Incidentally, APC&TCP blossomed relatively quickly into one of the cheapest PD diskette dealers in Germany.

Initially there were also a number of third-party products in the range, which were mainly sold to club members. Though relatively quickly after that our range of goods reverted to being only our own products that were offered, apart from a few exceptions. One of those exceptions, by way of example, is the LOAD from VzEkC e.V. Issue 8, which will soon be available in the APC&TCP online shop.

For many years, the NoCover floppy disk club magazine was also distributed through APC&TCP. Incidentally APC&TCP has been publishing the print magazine Amiga Future for over 20 years, and what's more, the Amiga Future will be reaching its 25th anniversary in January. Yes, the Amiga Future magazine is still being printed.

Over the years, in addition to the many software titles released through APC&TCP, there has also been a whole range of merchandise produced by APC&TCP: such as, posters, mouse pads, mugs, stickers and much, much more.

APC&TCP also took over the distribution of the Amiga Joker magazine, issues 17 and 19.

Recently the VD Aktuell has also become available through APC&TCP.

Over the years APC&TCP has remained very active, in many areas, though generally that is in the background, without Amiga users really being aware of their involvement. For example, APC&TCP took over the advance ticket sales for the Amiga trade fairs from ICP. So, it was a natural step for APC&TCP to present the Amiga at Gamescom in a show area of approx. 100 square metres.

APC&TCP will be there, yet again, at the Amiga 37 in the autumn of 2022 and is also assisting the organisers to make the venture a success, as usual, in the background.

Over the last 30 years, APC&TCP has released over 200 products for the Amiga, and there are also 125 NoCover issues. Additionally approx. 140 German and 80 English Amiga Future magazine issues have been printed during that time.

After 30 years, APC&TCP actually seems to be one of the largest software publishers for the Amiga with a current 6-digit annual turnover. From which no-one has become super-wealthy here, it's just that the Amiga is simply great fun to use.

Our main goal, currently, is to reach our 50th year anniversary, which would be something to really celebrate. In addition, we are always searching for entertaining games and applications, and where its programmer is also looking for a fair and reliable publisher. One of the great advantages of APC&TCP is that a programmer can have their say as to any choice of packaging, which is also one of the reasons why APC&TCP does not have any standardised or similar packaging from one product to another.

Amiga Future magazine & AFA Viewer index update

The Amiga Future magazine index has been updated by Helmut Haake and now also contains the index of the latest edition of the Amiga Future.

The magazine index contains all article titles from the Amiga Future editions.
This makes it easier to find a specific article in over 20 years of Amiga Future.

In addition, the magazine index can also be used with the AFA Viewer for AmigaOS 4.

Firstly, to find out in which edition an article was published.

But you can also read the articles published on AFA-DVD directly with the AFA Viewer.
To do this, the AFA-DVD must be in the drive or installed on the hard disk.

It is also possible to partially access the files directly from the Amiga Future homepage.

Free download of the AFA Viewer: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/index?cat=78

Of course, Achim Pankalla would also appreciate feedback and ideas about the program.

Amiga Future Wanted #2: CD32 editor

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 157 preview is now available to view online

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Of course there's actually so MUCH more in the magazine.

Needless to say you will often get other versions of software, some of which were commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, every Amiga variant of Operating system, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Readers' cover CD.

A detailed description of the varied content and excerpts of our current issue can be found at: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/kb/index?c=13

The Amiga Future magazine is available both as an English and German printed magazine - each issue is printed in FULL COLOUR - directly available from our magazine editorial office and from various other Amiga dealers.

Important Notice!

All our Amiga Future subscribers should check that both your current postal and email addresses for you are correct that has been supplied by you to us.
The Amiga Future gets packed and shipped a few days prior to its actual release date. So, we need any change/correction to your address to be passed to us before we dispatch it, and in any case as soon as possible.
Bear in mind that: Usually requests to forward on mail will not be handled with such mail items, i.e. magazines!

We also ask that you check that your subscription fee(s) are current and up to date, i.e. already been paid, as some, in fact quite a few, subscription fees are still not currently fully paid.

Amiga Future monthly news to be discontinued

For many years we have had paged updates and other news related to the Amiga Future and APC&TCP in our published monthly news. The point of the matter was to offer good news updates for the Amiga, and not merely to flood you with just any kind of news message, which was well intentioned by us to save both time and effort. However, it was sadly often the case that many of those reports we released were already out of date.

So, we have decided to discontinue our monthly news with immediate effect.

In the future we will publish all such updates and news promptly and without any delay on these news channels, namely:

* APC&TCP website: http://www.apc-tcp.de/index-de.php?page=news
* Amiga Future webpage: https://www.amigafuture.de
* Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...igafuture.news

* Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/amigafuture.de
* Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/amigafuture/
* email newsletters
* Though ... maybe something else will be added soon...

As you would expect, we will continue to publish any and all major reports we encounter on all well-known news websites, which also offer great service for news, and as a means to spread the news base of great breaking news stories throughout the Amiga community.
(Bear in mind that we also have a press mailing list)

You can find the contents of the new Amiga Future and of course all of the already published booklets at the address ...

http://eab.abime.net/attachment.php?...1&d=1660817208

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 158 preview is now available to view online

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Preview Amiga 37

Planned release date for RESHOOT Proxima 3

http://eab.abime.net/attachment.php?...1&d=1667037685

Planned release date for RESHOOT Proxima 3

Richard Löwenstein is currently working very hard on the completion of his new game RESHOOT Proxima 3.

If no other major problems arise, the game will be released by APC&TCP on March 15, 2023.

Until then, you can of course pass the time with RESHOOT R.

So that nobody really misses the release of RESHOOT Proxima 3, we have set up an email notification.

Just write an email to info@apc-tcp.de with the subject "RESHOOT" and you will receive information when RESHOOT Proxima 3 is released.

After the release, the RESHOOT notification list will be deleted by us. This is also NOT a pre-order.

Of course, as usual, we will also inform you about the release via all our channels such as APC&TCP webpage, Amiga Future webpage, Android app, email newsletter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
