Fire and Ice

Does anyone know why I can't get Fire and Ice to work on Win Uae. After inserting disk 2 some graphics appear at screen bottom and then that is it. Anyone with Win uae experience help

it works for me
set your cpu to 68000
chipset to ocs
and enable opeb gl
hope it works

As Akira Said OPEN GL should not be needed for any game to work.

Maybe artyboy you could upload your CONFIG.

In the meantime this is as far as I get...Like Ashley.

It's been a while since I last played this one, but I'm sure it worked fine under WinUAE 08.8r8.
Give that version a try & see what happens.

I did try it with WINUAE 8.8 Release 8 but alas still have the same problems

My disk version works fine with 0.8.22 R1.

i wonder if you know how to get s;am tilt to work with uae
mine seems to freeze when asked for a table

@CPC464. What version of Fire & Ice are you using? Just checked the one I have on WinUAE 0822r1 & works fine, just like it did on WinUAE 08.8r8.

yeah, ashley isn't here (yet), so CPC464 could you either upload the version that doesn't work for you or tell me the CRCs so I can identify them?
CRCs are sufficient, though.

@CPC464. Had a quick go just now. The intro is very similar to the cracktro I've got. Except whilst my one here has it by that Fusion group,there was no selection menu like your one.

It defintely seems to be the 2nd disk at fault. I was able to boot up to the first level using your version's Disk one,& using my ADF version of disk 2.

You're absolutely right.

It's Disk 2 of the Lazarus version that's faulty. The game works anyway without problems, but the graphics are corrupted at the lower part of the screen, so it's a bad dump.
