Thanks! Make sure those alien bastards won't be able to resurrect Ramses, and use his powers to control the world!

The first update is live on Aminet. Because I forgot to read my own TODO notes, the game didn't save FXDevice and ReverseStereo into the CFG, which made it impossible to use AHI. While at it I also removed some clutter from the CFG.

A new Exhumed version is now available. This brings it in line with the rest of the Build games for the most part. The highlights include PlayStation controlers support via PSXPort, MHI MP3 playback and improved performance.
The link is in the first post.

Aww man, I've missed so much over the last couple of years! I've just discovered this thread and now I really want to get my 060/RTG machine out of storage but sadly I really can't right now, even if I had the space, I don't have the power sockets to plug it in. Buying somewhere that needs rewiring sucks at times.

Exhume is most light weight Build game, so it should be quite fast with wide range of systems.

I hope you'll sort out the power/space issues eventually. There are now a bunch of Build engine games that I'm would run great on that machine

Oh, for sure, it’s only temporary. We moved house and the “new” place needs fully rewiring. Honestly, I’ve never known a house with so few sockets. It will hopefully be done by spring but of course with covid all the electricians are really backed up and you’re lucky if anyone even answers your call.

All I have for now is a Mister which despite having RTG and being 100mhz is only 68020 which I assume would not be good enough? That is only an assumption however, I haven’t actually tried (some health things going on too that I won’t get into)

Since I know nothing about the crash this is just a guess, but have you tried to give it more stack?

When exactly does it crash? I would help if I could see the actual output. Did you try to delete pcexhumed.cfg?

Yes i deleted the config file before starting the exe
Crash occurred after the showing of the two images of the intro.
Game still start correctly with 1.1.. so it must be something you introduced in 1.2

Yes, I understand 1.1 still works. Then I recommend staying with 1.1 for OS4.

Hi BSzili, after a lot of months I've finally had time to test this game but unfortunately on my OS 3.2 with BlizzardPPC 68060/66MHZ it doesn't start.

I've put in the game directory the files STUFF.DAT , DEMO.VCR and BOOK.MOV and tried to start the game but when I click on the executable (either the 060 or the 040 version), a text window pops up, the screen comes black and then I get to the workbench back with the message you can read in the attached screenshot.

The last message is cddriver is no sound.

To be honest I didn't understand where I'm supposed to put the music files, I've downloaded both, the mp3 and the wav tracks but there is no "sound" or "music" folder on the game directory.

Could you, or someone else that maybe had already experienced and solved this issue tell me where I'm doing wrong?

Unfortunately there's no error in the logs, so I have no clue what went wrong here. You could try starting the game without startup-sequence after SetPatch to see if it makes any difference.
You are supposed to simply extract the music in the game's drawer. If you had to create any sub-directories I would have mentioned this in the readme, so no need to worry about those.
