Great Mschulz
So this will be much faster than the emulator Pistorm is using now? Maybe AROS 68k can be used? |

Yes very cool project, I would also love to see this brought over to the MiSTer one day!

@NovaCoder I imagine this could come to MiSTer (Are there any hybrid cores at the moment on MiSTer?) but how good would the 800MHz ARM Cortex-A9 in MiSTer be compared to Pi3B's 1.3GHz Cortex-A53? Last edited by alexh; 23 September 2021 at 13:22. Reason: Fixed MiSTer ARM speed |

Hi @mschulz, and thanks for the work you seem to be putting on this!
What is supposed to come out of this? A functional native Amiga OS running on the Pi3/4 baremetal? |

@alexh: Yes, that's clear to me. But I am not really interested in old hardware (prone to fail, expensive...) even if I have several Amiga models: it has no future, it's a dead-end.
What I would expect from a project like this is being able to run Amiga on inexpensive and common hw like the Pi3/4, in standalone fashion. Is that also a goal nowadays? |

If your thinking of an amithlon type environment I've not heard that discussed. Just an alternate processor model for UAE which already runs on the Pi under linux and other os

One possibility is running a RasPi Compute Module 3 or 4 plugged into a MiniMig-style FPGA board instead of an off-the-shelf Pi 3 or 4. |

@Samurai_crow
I hope USB driver issues have been resolved by now! Also, there's Circle (https://github.com/rsta2/circle) which allows baremetal C programs to be deployed on the Pi relatively easy. |

@Gaula92
It's a C++ environment, not C, but which also provides some add-on C Libraries, according to it's Overview Last edited by OldAmigan; 25 September 2021 at 15:47. Reason: Correction |
