My new office!!!

Finally I've made use of some space that was filled with clutter, out with the clutter and in with a new Desk so I can finally stop doing my builds on the dining table! Yep the missus love that when we have a dining table full of Amiga gear!

So here it is, picked up flat packed from eBay, took most of the day to build and set everything up!

My soldering/repairs section:

Gaming secion & ongoing project test bed!

TV has AV/Scart/SVideo/VGA, etc all ready to plug into whatever system I want to hook up next!

The A1200 has an ACA1230/28 I recently picked up from Amibay in a trade, perfect little WHDLoad setup

The A4000 project is still very much work in progress, CyberstormMkII 060 66mhz, Mediator4000Di, Voodoo 3, Realtek NIC, FM801 Audio, all working. Will soon have a SpiderII USB card! Just need to make that perspex lid for it!!!

Oh and it gets onling via the WiFi Gaming adapter you can see, anything LAN plugged into that is converted straight to WiFi

Really should stop geeking out and hit the Town for New Year!

Yup, knew you would fill it up pretty quick. Still looks pretty organized, though.

Now you're just showing off! What a long way you've come since you originally tried to sell your Amiga kit. Very nice setup.

Nice and tidy setup you have there Steve. My wife has not been very impressed with me performing surgery on Amigas on the coffee table either. I recently bought a "new" $5 desk for the garage from ebay. Now I just need to tidy up my work area. I'll post a photo when I get around to it.

Nice set up Steve - I need to get something like this in 2012 - I love the way the A1200 slides away... just perfect.

Hi Steve,

Well done!
Congratulations!

It's my dream to have such place where I could place some equipment.

I'm forced to keep everything and do everything in the 5m2 basement. :-(
Family.
But I'm working to have bigger flat with (I hope) one small room *only for me* soon. :-)

Thanks guys, I missed all the replies. Thanks for the kind words

I'm really enjoying the workspace although (don't tell the wife) I had my A4000T apart on the dining table earlier

@stachu,

I hope you get your office soon, a man with your skills needs a decent workspace

Hi Steve

Looking VERY tidy! Always good to have a tidy working area.

We're expecting our first child in July and I've swung a deal to work from home. The downside - I need a 'proper' office space. So, my playroom now has a virtually empty dining table to accommodate my iMac and 2 (work) laptops.
The upside - No clutter and a 1.5sqm work service-cum-workbench for project work

Next steps are to sling a slider under the desk so I can keep my A600HD in an 'always on' configuration

Hi LuMan,

Thank for the kind words, sadly it's not so tidy now with a few projects on the go but a very effective space

Congrats by the way

All the best,
Steve.

nice setup!
I should really get my spare room sorted out, bits of hardware on and under the desk, disks everywhere.... although it does stop the girlfriend from trying to use the desk for anything else
