Internal floppydrive - A600 vs A1200

On my quest to fix my old internal floppydrive in the Amiga 1200, I might just change the whole drive. Should I be looking for one specifically for the A1200 or is one for A600 identically the same?

Thanks all!

A600 & A1200 share identical floppy drives Other Amiga drives (A500 etc) would electrically work too, but they wouldn't fit nicely in the case.

A600 and A1200 share floppy drives as mentioned, however if you have an AT (Escom) A1200 it may have a modification on the motherboard which means that the drive was not made for the Amiga but is in fact a PC drive. In this case, the A1200 will not work with an Amiga drive unless you undo the modification on the MB (which is relatively simple). If your A1200 is a C= model (the case badge will reveal if it is one or the other), then there are no worries.

Hmm..

So this would be an unmodified A1200 and thus no worries?
