Any Midi player to be used on a stock CDTV?

I did search but I did not find any tool to play a midi file on the CDTV with an expendeur connected to the Midi port.


CDTV uses 1.3 ROM. Any suggestion to play a .mid file using an SC-55 or SC-88 plugged to the midi out port?

CAMD.library is the standard midi driver for Amigas but you need GadTools34 to use the support application.

Many thanks. Now I see a lot better how it works.
Once I have CAMD.library and GadTools for 1.3, which player should I use on 1.3 Workbench? A command line tool is enough, I don't need any graphical interface.

It might be worth asking on amigalove.com as they're more 1.3-oriented.

I had a quick look on aminet but couldn't tell. Your best bet would be to try a few different ones. I don't know if HippoPlayer does midi but it's worth trying. A last resort would be Music-X or Bars and Pipes.

Disk 54 has "Miditools" that might help. Disk 626 contains a tool called "Stuffer" which claims to support standard midi files. Video Music Box (VMB) on disk 660 might also work.

I recently retrieved a CDTV from storage. Once I have it in an appropriately working state I might dive down this rabbit hole myself.
