Super League 2021: Round 7 - Cast Your Votes

Welcome to the vote for the game we will be playing in round 7.

This is the second voting pool this year. Please vote only from the selected games below.

How was this pool compiled? Starting with the first game we played this year, the list of eligible games was made from the other games created by the coders, artists and musicians that are credited on the Lemon Amiga and Hall of Light databases. Repeating that with each game in the league until there were at least 30 suitable games to vote from. This selection of games was chosen due to personnel connections to Super Hang-On, Nitro and Switchblade II. And it was largely due to musician Barry Leitch that this vote has 59 suitable games and a further 24 that probably aren't but you never know, someone might have a better idea than me. So there's plenty of choice.

Just like in the magazine round, I've had a brief look through to see which ones have scores or possible ways to play them in the competition. And placed games that probably can't be played in a separate list. I've had to make snap decisions based on what little I know about each game so it might not be perfect. If you can think of a way to score a game feel free to vote for it and let us know how. Also, if you know about a game that can't be played fairly please mention it.

This vote ends at 23:59 (UK Time) on Saturday 15th May 2021.

The main screen has three stats. Date, Money and Quality of Life. We could have a set date (or date range) that scores are submitted on and the quality of life is the score. Or have a target for quality of life and use the date as the score, so fastest to reach the target wins. Money can be a tiebreaker.

I've not played Utopia before so don't know how well either of these would work, but figure it's possible. Things to work out would be what level to play (I'm guessing it has levels or scenarios) and how long it would take to play.

Castle Master has a score, it is shown when the Castle Master Logo is clicked. However, it is an adventure score which is given for certain actions.

I've not played Castle Master either. It looks like the action is very simple and it's mostly a puzzle/adventure and so I thought it might be too easy to watch a longplay and get max score. I might be wrong, if anyone knows better.

Sometimes it is nice to have 'easier' games, like we had with "Treasure Island Dizzy". I don't see as much important if everybody score the maximum score for a round.
But I don't remember if Castle Master is in such category

Almost halfway through the voting and it's looking like another close one. Every vote could have a big impact. You know what to do.

Voting is over.

This was a close race for most of the vote. Super Cars II was in the lead for a while but a late surge pushed Qwak to a comfortable win.

It's got a score. Nice and simple.

One option. The game has 80 levels and takes about one hour to complete. After that it loops. Might be a good idea to agree that we only play through once and take a final screenshot on level 81 (the start of the new loop).

Any thoughts and preferences on that?
