LHAconic - Aminet comment section
Have you ever scrolled down an Aminet page looking for comments? Nowadays this is almost automatic! Thought to add this "layer" to our beloved platform, otherwise pretty solitaire. LHAconic - inspired by the great "Gitter" - is a standard RocketChat installation that allows anonymous posting and searching.
Usage is very simple: Enter a room, register or login as anonymous (emails won't be verified). Post a relevant Aminet link (not the direct link to the LHA archive itself) then "reply in thread" to yourself and start the discussion! Video demo: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tG-...-lzduPVXy/view It's an open project, help needed to customize the appearence with a polished Wb2.1 look and feel CSS. Also looking for a MongoDB expert to implement a mechanism that prevents crossposting (eg. posting "dev" stuff in the "comm" room). The site is here: http://lhaconic.eu/ Suggestions are very welcome! Thank you, AG |

Really appreciate your dedication!
Doing little graphical refinements (I suck at CSS). Also, now threads are collapsed by default. A lot more readable. Search function is the the "magnifying glass" on the right and seems to work very well (hmmm... at least with 2 active users and 20 messages overall...) Server is Amazon t2.micro... what you pay (0$) is what you get!! Good night, hope to read you soon! |
