Slightly Magic on that thing called Kickstarter
Another day, another optimistic retro revival.
The asking total doesn't seem too much, either. Thoroughly enjoyed playing the C64 version back then. The [ Show youtube player ] still sounds as great as ever! (Really wanted to find the title tune, but no video exists of the C64 version of it.) |

It wont make it!
Especially as people have been making free dizzy remakes that look just as good if not better than "slightly magic". |

It would be a real shame if people can't grant it that low a target. I'm seriously considering registering onto the site and making this my first backing.
It's still not Dizzy, though. And its target is certainly more plausable than what the Oliver Twins were asking for for their own Kickstarter. |

I really enjoyed Slightly magic on my Spectrum back in the day and I would love to see the sequel but running on the old hardware, I really don't care for old games re-released on smart phones or PSN, etc.
Of course I understand money talks and he's not going to give away his old game, shame it will probably never be seen on the original hardware which would have been awesome. |

And it's not like anyone's making any S.M. fan-games to potentially render a project such as this one pointless. |

Hmmmmph. Maybe if he was resurrecting the Amiga version there'd be more interest on here....

Apparently if the project succeeds he will consider (re)making the unreleased sequels. That was enough to make me put a pledge on it. Obviously I'd love to play the sequel on the real hardware too, but we all know that's probably not going to happen.
Loved the original game. The Amiga version wasn't bad either. |
