I got to level 15 and now I'm fucked

I used beer bottles just before finish the levels to get as high score as possible. See now this was not a good idea. Better save them to the later levels. No problem. This is a fun game so will have another go later tonight.

I was thinking that... Flashtro release a game without a cracktro / trainer

Come on guys, you can do better then that. We await the up and coming revision

Floppy disk

Job done
Alco-Copter v1.0 (2018)(Flashtro)[t+2 ross]

At intro menu:
- press Fire, like usual, for normal game;
- press LMB for infinite lives;
- press RMB for alco-proof mode.

The score is not updated for the cheater, sorry.

Added some goodies:
- pressing both LMB+RMB when on gameplay -> exit to menu
(this is due, otherwise in trainer mode you are forced to reset..);
- now works also in 512+512+external drive attached, thanks to my addchip bootblock.

Patch is made through hunk injection so the exe is portable to hdd.

Enjoy this Flashtro little gems!

Have now played it through. Played the game wrongly yesterday and wasted too much alcohol

Found only two small bugs:

a) If you enter your name before you start and finish the game, then you have to enter your name again.
b) The life counter stop working when you have more than 9 lives.

Oh, thanks for the report. I'll have a look immediately.

EDIT: Can't confirm this bug here, life-counter continues with 10 and after playing through level 30 the playername is still there and highscore is saved - only bug is that is shows L31 in the highscore ranking instead of 30. Did you used the trained version? I can't believe somebody manages to get 10 lives during normal gameplay. ;-)

EDIT EDIT: Wow dude, just saw your longplay on youtube. Respect, I never thought somebody would really take the time to beat this game. :-) What system settings do you use as your bugs are clearly visible in the video?

I do not think it's possible (but i've to check).
I've disabled lives/score update to avoid false hiscore saving

Kudos for your game!

EDIT: ok, I saw the longplay, is definitely the regular version.
And I understand where the problem of the lives update lie (I had noticed it while I was doing the trainer and I was going to negative lives )
It's not a bug in the var update but in screen update.

He didn't use your version... "Trained by Ross" is missing in the first textpage. :-)

I've only noticed a small bug in the keyboard handler, in that it always assumes a German layout, so while inserting username Z and Y keys are swapped, but as others have already said, it's really a nice little game you've made there, thank you!

I use almost always save states for my longplays. For Alco-Copter I practiced the levels one or two times before recording and used save states for almost every level. So I'm not really that good

Used the none trained version from flashtro.com. Configuration used was WinUAE 3.6.0, Kickstart 1.3, OCS, 1 MB Chip and 1 MB Fastram. Looks like CodyJarrett got the life counter bug as well (see HOL).
