No HD install option, I'm a little sad. Hopefully they'll have it for the full game when that's released.

Decided to try it, for the old time's sake (EotB addict). Not bad at all, at least fx/gfx and general polish. There's not much action on this level though...or maybe there is later? Embarassingly I got stuck on the 1st puzzle - how do you get past the hole?

The same with me. Obviously I must throw something to that switch. How do I use spells? I have a spellbook and a magic arrow spell, but "B" (or "S") key doesn't seem to have an effect. I understand some items can be used if I drop them to my body figure (especially food), but not spells.

EDIT: I found it. To cast a magic arrow I have to have a spellbook in my LEFT hand and then I can choose the spell (key "B" in "Modern" control).

I have completed the demo.

Very easy install. Copy all the files into one drawer and make assigns.

BTW it is great the game runs in multi-tasking. I mounted a virtual save disk during playing

Assign floppies to your hdd drawer of course. You are not familiar how Amiga Assigns work?

You need to create script like this:

Code:
Assign SoS1: ""
Assign SoS2: ""
Assign SoS3: ""
Assign SoS_Save: ""
Assign T: Ram: ;this comes from the SoS startup-sequence
CD ""
SoS
Then create a Project type icon for this script and put IconX as a default tool into that icon.

I found only two small problems in the demo, if there is any of the authors reading here:

1 - the scrolltext in the intro story is too fast, it is not easy to follow (especially for non-native speakers)

2 - messages in the text bar: some are too long and do not fit in the window

One remark: A1200 + Blizzard 1230/50 is not fast enough for movement anims, so I recommend anyone with this or weaker config to turn this (although cool) feature off.

Any chance you could share a HDF of this demo?

A small update: Pre-orders should be open in November, so I asked Jeremie today. Here is the answer:

Quote:
Hi,

It will be very soon, before mid-december, the adaptation / relocation of the company to France was more complex than expected.

I wanted to make sure everything was right before lauching a pre-order campaign.

Thanks for your patience and support !

Jérémie
