Freesync monitor recommendations
Anyone know any good freesync/gsync monitors which work well with WinUAE for PAL and NTSC screen modes?
I am based in UK, looking to spend as little as possible. I find many descriptions online do not show the frequencies supported by the units. Thanks |

This one looks like it goes from 48 - 75 Hz so should work ok?

I see no reason why 48-75Hz FreeSync monitor wouldn't work ok...

It should work but I am not sure if 48Hz is low enough. It is quite close to 50Hz which could cause glitches if for some reason some frame is too long due to something stealing time from emulation.

If I can run WinUAE with no buffer without tearing - is there any benefit to a VRR monitor for WinUAE?

Thanks for the reply, sorry I was getting confused. I can get WinUAE with no buffer without tearing using Low Latency Vsync in WinUAE 3.4.
But the problem with vsync is that the audio will eventually fall out of sync with a pop - correct? So if I get a VRR monitor I will get tear free screen with no buffer AND without the inevitable audio pop - correct? |

I have realised this would involve getting a new gfx card... ouch. Especially at the current time.
