Found: Bounty Bob Strikes Back and Ghost Hunters (C64)

It's a C64 game, and I doubt it was ever released on the Amiga, but I'm not registered at the Lemon64 site so I hope some of you can help me.

The only thing I remember about the game is, it's a platformer, you have to collect stuff to get to open the door to the next level, there was a lot of elevators in it, and it was all on one single screen.

I also remember the loading screen having the US flag, playing the US national tune and having a counter counting downwards as it was loading.

It's one of the really few games I have trouble finding.

Another game is a "scary" game, and you controlled a crosshair shooting ghosts, while the character moved from one floor to another. Well, I think I was supposed to shoot ghosts and stuff, but I don't think I ever managed to figure out what to do. The graphics were pretty good I think, and a lot of red was used.

So, anyone have a clue?

Well that will be a game published by U.S.Gold in the UK and is probably Bounty Bob Strikes Back, which is the sequel to Miner 2049er

Didn't US Gold games have the US Flag and counter as its loading??

The only ones I can think of is Mission Elevator or Elevator Action?

As for the other game.... you're right, I don't have a clue!

Edit: Didn't see FromWithin's post.....

Wow, I have a feeling the first is Bounty Bob Strikes Back, it does look quite familiar to me. Thanks, FromWithin.

Regarding the second one, there's not necessarily a red crosshair in it, but I only it vaguely and I seem to remember something like that.

Scary game? The scariest game ever I know on the C64 is Cosmi's FORBIDDEN FOREST from 1983! You have been warned! The game is so spooky that even adults playing it still (!!!) get the crap scared out of them with this thing, as everything happens very suddenly and unforeseeingly (eg ground breaking up, huge sprites appearing on the screen etc), let alone the scary music!
"Red" fits it very well, as the game is VERY bloody-gory! In Germany - with a reason! - I would have rated this 18+.

Taken a bit of thought StarEye, but I think the platform game maybe Load Runner.
No elevators but ladders (lost in translation?). When all gold's collected the next ladder appears allowing entry into the next level.
Try downloading Mine Runner for the Amiga. It's almost identical to the old 8 bit versions.

Sorry, it's not Lode Runner. I've tried Bounty Bob's and I felt that I've played it before, so it could be it. I know of Lode Runner too, though. Among my favourites.

andreas: it's not Forbidden Forest. God, I really thought it was scary back in the days. But when I said "scary" games I meant a game that has ghosts and such in it. But not controversial scary, like Forbidden Forest.

Mmm, no. I remember it taking place in a house, and I seem to remember an attic. Kinda like the perspective from Little Computer People.

Never played it but Retro Gamer have got a feature in it in this months issue - they reckon it's scary too!

Forbidden Forest was very controversial at the time it was released. Not many games had that amount of blood in it, and it really had that special scary atmosphere.

But when I said scary, I meant scary THEMED (and emphasized that by writing "scary"). Scary themed could be cute scary... it doesn't necessarily scare you, but it has things like ghosts, zombies, bats etc.

Though I agree that I could've been more specific.
