and the same goes for the doscopy version already present in TOSEC:
[02A1F512] Daley Thompson's Olympic Challenge (1988)(Ocean)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr QTX][b doscopy]

4 bad bytes on graphics or worse on sounds, it's hard to detect, especially when you don't know when the data is used (like at the end of the game when you are really unlucky )

Another addition for the TOSEC. I have fixed the crack for Brian the Lion Hoodlum release.
The manual checks are located on disk 2 and 3, i have then fixed those by adapting the Amiga patch list patch for the Computer Combat Pack AGA version to the OCS version, and tested the game from start to the end. no manual check request anymore

The archive is in the zone.

@dlfrsilver
Thanks for your files, I'll take a closer look at this for "Brian the Lion" which I never looked at.
Concerning "Crazy Cars II", there are already functional disks of Quartex in TOSEC!
What is missing in the original Quartex edition is the NoDOS data of the cracktro.
By replacing track 0, you make the disk functional because the Quartex bootblock loader is deleted. The other data are not used by the game ($400>$2c00), a simple replacement of the bootblock would have given the same result and more cleanly.

It is possible that a fully functional Quartex disk will never be found (with cracktro) but your version cannot be called :
Crazy Cars II (1989)(Titus) [cr QTX]
That's why I didn't propose this kind of hack in 2019 when I treated this game. I would have called it:
Crazy Cars II (1989)(Titus) [cr QTX][a cracktro disabled]
Is it really useful? I don't think so...sorry

EDIT:
I will add that I had already put aside a disk at the time which had done the same thing and which is in Non-TOSEC database

Crazy cars II has no cracktro. Simply a text, like QTX did most of the time.

Contrary to appearances, the disk you modified has no problem in track 0!
The problem is in the cylinder 69 which should contain an intro (can be a trainer or a hack) which is not found for the moment.
The bootblock, which you removed, loaded a 92672kb data block in this area of the disk which was not protected by the BAM. When compressing the disk with DMS, all the spaces declared empty by the BAM were deleted (wrong setting of DMS). So the bootblock loads empty data ($00) and that's why the disk doesn't work.
Removed the bootblock allows the disk to work but the intro is still missing. The intro may be from Quartex or not, nobody knows but there was something more inside.

The real challenge is to find it!

I found that tracks 11,12,13 were corrupted, so after extracting them with ADF workshop, i have fixed each broken release.
Please check the zone for the pack
I finished sorting the batch of disks for Strider. I have integrated your files except for the hack by Bandidos.
Other hacks will be integrated soon and I don't want a patch for each one...it's really useless
You will also find in the next Non-TOSEC the other disks that you have corrected for this game in the past

Hi dlfrsilver,
I can't use your version because it is badly repaired and more disfunctional than the TOSEC version
sorry

it is working, otherwise, i would never had uploaded it.

Before it was failing in the crystal cave. Now it works perfectly.

Do you understand how this version must used ?

Well the trackloading stops on disk 1 (disk 2 of 3), you need to remove the disk and insert disk 2 (disk 3 of 3).

The screen shows a strange pixel pattern, it means you have to swap the disk.

It's exactly the same behaviour with Hudson Hawk cracked by the company. The screen flash, you swap the disk !

If you read my message again, you will understand that I was talking about Amiga Soccer.

About SotB2, I haven't had the time to test it yet...

just tell me, what is exactly the problem ? i did an hex compare between the game loaded from my original in memory, and the data in the crack.

What have you spotted ?

The game was originally reported as bad because of a DOSCopy. In this case, it is 6 bad bytes in sector 880. The problem is that you have replaced other adjacent data without reason.
Now, for verification, just play music 1 (press F1 on the options screen), the music plays a bad instrument from the 1st note

ok, then back to the black board !

PS : what is the position for you of those 6 bytes in sector 880 ?

Automatic problem identification in ADF-Workshop :

Disk Format : Bootable NoDOS disk
- Possible doscopy on NoDOS disk! A correct checksum in rootblock is suspect for a NoDOS disk (sector 880 with 6 bad bytes)
