Cross-compiling for AROS
If you are interested in doing software development or porting for AROS and you are a Windows user, here is a cool tutorial on how to setup your development environment in a few simple steps. https://arosnews.github.io/how-to-cr...os-hosted-wsl/
On the other hand, if you are a Linux user, you can easily use the second part of that tutorial to setup cross-compiling environment for yourself. If anyone has any additional questions about developing for AROS, just let me know. |

This requires considerably more than being "a Window user", the actual requirements are:
* Windows 10 May 2020 (2004) or newer operating system * Computer supporting Hyper-V Virtualization * Installed driver for vGPU |

During the build process, several external sources are downloaded. These sources are downloaded only once and cached for future use.
If it happens that there is some network problem during download, the download will fail. Your first option is to repeat the last process step and possibly the download will work (if the network issue was temporary). If that does not work, look into the log and you will see URLs there from where the build process tries to download files. Use this URL to download files manually via browser and then put the files into portssources directory. You might also need to delete some temporary files in portssources directory with names similiar to ones you downloaded. We will extend the tutorial to cover the case of failed download. |
