FS-UAE 3.2-beta
I plan to continue maintaining the FS-UAE 3.x (without any new big features) until FS-UAE 4 matures. FS-UAE 3.1 - which has had some minor fixes - works quite nicely now, and I don't indent to introduce any risky changes there. The main change in FS-UAE 3.2-beta is the backport of an updated libslirp library from FS-UAE 4 which fixes A2065 emulation. Especially useful for AmigaOS 4.1 emulation.
Version 3.2.4-beta: * Backported builtin slirp from FS-UAE 4 (fixes A2065 instability - corrupt downloads and crash). * Use g_get_monotonic_time() for high-resolution time on Windows as well. https://fs-uae.net/files/FS-UAE/Beta/3.2.4-beta/ Note: There seems to be an issue with libslirp on macOS causing missing to be dropped: https://github.com/FrodeSolheim/fs-uae/issues/288 (Probably a libslirp bug with a potential fix: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/slirp...rp/-/issues/35 - looking into it). |

Upgrading the bundled libslirp to latest version 4.6.1 fixed the data corruption issue on macOS

Bundled SDL version is bumped to 2.0.18. Should fix mouse cursor containment issue on Windows with non-integer UI scaling. Might also improve controller support. In addition, on macOS, do not simulate right/middle mouse buttons in full keyboard emulation. |

@FrodeSolheim
Hi, I am currently using version 3.2.11 (os 4.1) from what I understand the 4-dev version supports folder sharing it's right? https://fs-uae.net/files/FS-UAE/Mast..._x86-64.tar.xz or does 3.2.11 also support this? what is the syntax for adding a directory? Thank you. Last edited by White; 15 June 2022 at 15:24. |

Any chance to update WHDLoad to the latest version? I'm seeing no way for a manual update. Thanks.

Hi Frode, What you think to make WHDLoad as a plugin? We could update the files manually. Do you know if 3.2 is far from stable release - not asking for ETA Kind regards Thom |

Hasn’t been any activity in a long time. FS-UAE is likely not going to be updated anymore. Learn to use WinUAE, which has an active Developer.

If you insist to compile it yourself (FS-UAE that is ) just take a look at "fs-uae-launcher/fsgamesys/amiga/whdload.py" (in conjunction with "fs-uae-launcher/fsgamesys/download.py") and it should become obvious how WHDLoad is fetched. |

If it helps, I've found the location of the CI builds from the master branch: FS-UAE: https://fs-uae.net/files/FS-UAE/Master/ FS-UAE Launcher: https://fs-uae.net/files/FS-UAE-Launcher/Master/ By looking at the timestamps, it looks like since August 2022 there are no more CI builds |

That is not what he is asking for, he asks (AS A JOKE) how to compile WinUAE on and more importantly for Linux. But of cause, that would help anyone that tries to follow my DIY recommendation. |

I'm pairing FS-UAE with Amiberry 6.x (for x86_64) for now. Amiberry is an extremely lively project, the maintainer is super responsive.
Amiberry, though, has currently some limitations: specifically it cannot emulate some expansion cards such as accelerator boards. |

There's a very simple reason for that (at face value) ~ as yet, afaik, no amiberry user has requested that accelerator cards be added to the emulation =) |

well, looks like someone did ask the question :-) And it seems that accelerator cards are not far from being released (see comment) Last edited by jman; 21 June 2024 at 22:14. |

Incorrect assessment ~ I am unaware of any plans to implement accelerator card emulation in amiberry at this time. I believe your question was slightly misconstrued, but all good... (see my reply there =) |
