Not sure whether those are false or not.

Two other items of note:

- EmeraldMines_v1.0_CD is presented as both lha and lzx on the FTP, not sure if that's deliberate (content is the same)
- Not related to your packs at all, but found because I was scanning the files with the AmigaVision/MegaAGS installation of VirusZ...I did discover this demo is also infected with HNY96:

in every copy I've been able to find, which should probably be removed but I don't know who to tell. If anyone _does_ know an appropriate contact, please let them know!

Emerald Mines CD is available as lha & Lzx, this is just a precaution.
Lha 2.12 & 2.15 can't compress the archive but 2.11 can, all lha versions can extract it though.
But to be on the safe side an lzx is available too just in case.

Confirmed from here:

https://www.vht-dk.dk/amiga/xvs/xvs-history.htm

that Zine10's Disk-Validator (and .fastdirs) are indeed a variant of the SADDAM virus...probably worth removing all three files from the WHDLoad archive as none are needed for proper functioning of the 'zine.

Fixed.

About Zine11 being packed as lzx, I guess lha gets confused and screws up when there's a "data" file in data folder.

I already packed that one up yesterday but got side tracked and forgot to update set.
Will do ASAP.

It's added.

I have a linux script that downloads everything changed and creates a merged dat english only file for the retroplay games directories (not demos, beta, file versions, mt32, or magazines) if you want it.

It's what i use to refresh the games collection for retroarch, although i'm sure the other program i saw here also works (the difference is that this merges the dat file, to have 'slightly nicer' names in retroarch, if you manually scan and use that playlist to filter.

You need to install lftp and xmlstarlet if you don't have them in linux (and zcat and mktemp if the OS didn't come with them).

It also points you to a python script that can more or less update the images for retroarch with a fuzzy search, some false positives or failures though (check the end of the script if you only want that). Only instead of using 'libretro-fuzz --no-meta' you should use 'libretro-fuzz --before "_"' if you're not going to create the playlist with the dat created in this script (because without the script the playlist names are the same as the file, and the 'metadata separator' is the first underscore).

I'm not actually sure how well the script works in windows, i tried my best with only allowing images or emoji for the cmd line in windows 10, but i'm not sure it works (i tried it on a windows 7 VM).

Hi RetroPlay,

The latest Nibbly Nibble pack halts with "xpkmaster.library version 4 not found". Is that something from your packaging or should I open a Mantis ticket?

No need to raise a ticket.
I decrunched the XPK packed "Nibby" file and crunched it with RNC ProPack 2.08.
That should do the trick.

Sure, but I don't think that the installation of compression libraries should be a requirement. IMO, at least.

Why is StuntCarRacer_v1.4_BETA_0222.lha still left?

Just a tiny niggle. Arkanoid NTSC needs the NTSC tooltype set in the icon to work. If it's not set, the game wont run and display's an error message. It's a very minor thing but might be work changing in the archive.

General question about this process... I'm using a real Amiga 500 enhanced with an ACA500plus and ACE2b. So I've got 2 options for extracting a couple thousand .lha files:

1. Copy all the .lha files to my auxilliary CF Card (CF1), insert CF1 back into the real Amiga, and extract to a directory on my "boot" CF Card (CF0)

2. Set up WinUAE, extract to CF1 in emulation, insert CF1 back into the real Amiga and copy the extracted folders to CF0

I am assuming that option 2 would still be the recommended process? Or is it basically a wash since I'd be copying the exctracted (larger) contents to CF0 in the end anyway?

In any case thank you much for this amazing service!!!

I guess WinUAE is faster but you don't need to waiting for extracting or copying. Start the job over night or when you doing something else. So time doesn't count.
