Gem'Z / Kaiko, Deluxe M.U.L.E. beta ?

I just had another look at the "Cody's MIA..." thread and was pretty shocked by all the
knowledge crammed in there So maybe one of you might be able to help me with these titles?

Gem'Z (Kaiko)

Follow up to Gem'X. This one is said to support the 4-joystick-adaptor (that's the reason why
I'm searching it). It's listed on various game lists on Aminet that try to list all
4 player games. AFAIK it was never officially released (I read an interview with one of the
coders years back), but it was completed. All I was able to locate until now is "Gemz" which
seems to be some Shareware Gem'X clone. This *must* be around, otherwise I wouldn't know how
some Aminet contributors could get their hands on it?

Deluxe M.U.L.E.

Official port of original M.U.L.E. to the Amiga. Was cancelled due to licensing issues.
World of M.U.L.E. (http://eidolon.psp.net/mule/) has some screenshots and further information
about the game (seems that one of the Factor5 founders was involved). I know there's Subtrade,
which is a pretty good substitute, but as a Mule fanatic, I'd like to get my hands on the
original of course. I wonder if this found its way to one of your collections?

Thx in advance...

Cool Super Gem`Z

Did you mean: Super Gem`Z ???

Yes, this title has been released by Kaiko in 1993 and I think it is the successor of Gem'X

I'll upload it to the zone...

No! This game was stolen from Kaiko at a very high level of development, and got spread. It was never commercially released! This info was taken from that brill Kaiko fansite someone posted here a while ago.

it does support the 4 player adapter. Think of this game as a mix of Sokoban and Bomberman. Very nice!

I suppose it has its bugs, but the version spread is , as far as I played, quite full.

I couldnt type in the passwords... how do you do it? Or was this not implemented in this beta version?

Well, the story is not quite true @Akira ..... the original WAS indeed stolen, that is correct, but KAIKO nevertheless completed the game but was unable to sell more than a few copy´s cause the before stolen copy was in everyones hand I allready seen fully boxed versions of this game on EBay, but the prices are extremely high (even higher ) .....

To the password thingy, I haven´t played it for a long time now, but AFAIK in the start screen there was an option called PASSWORD where you can type in the level code .....

I´m not quite sure, so I will check it out tomorrow

I never found the password option in the old GemX. And I never really had the chance to go look for it in GemZ since it doesn't really want to play more than 1 game at a time before freezing the controls.

You might have to type the Gem'X password on the titlescreen - I could be wrong, though.
