Alien Fish Finger - Not running on my A1200
I am failing to get the PD game Alien Fish Finger to run on my A1200.
Regardless of whether I have started the WHDLoad variant or whether I have started the Alien-Fish-Finger file directly from within the data directory, I get the same error: the screen goes black, the OS is switched off (no more clicking of the drive) - and it stays that way, no changes. Under WinUAE and the same configuration, the game runs in both variants - with WHDLoad or started directly. An original 3.2 ROM is installed in the A1200. WinUAE uses the 3.2 ROM file that was supplied with the operating system. And it has a TF1260 (Full Rev1-CPU) and an Indivision AGA MK3. Even if I deactivate the TF 1260 (plain A1200 with only Indivision connected), the error remains the same. With other games or applications I have not noticed any problem on that Amiga. (Ok, I wanted to give the game a try but now I also wonder if my A1200 could be not that healthy as I always think..) Des anyone have an idea what it could be? Did you check the RGB output instead of what's coming from the Indivision?

Retroplay WHDL pack version loads, runs and quits fine on my A1200 030. You might have an 060 conflict there somewhere.

A 060 conflict was my first thought too. Then, for a test, I disabled the TF1260, and tested it on the basic A1200 with only the Indivision AGA connected. And sadly it didn't help. (And on my WinUAE A1200 config the game works when changing my the 020 CPU to 060)
@derSammler: That's a good idea, I'll try it out later. |

No, ROM 3.2 is buggy, but has no effect for WHDload version.
WHDload version uses ROM 1.3. Can be 68060 problem or Indivision problem. |

This is strange, but when I use the RGB output, the game runs and is visible.
It must be something related to the Indivision. All other PAL or NTSC games I tried run and were visible with the Indivision. So, I don't understand why this one is not. |

This is not first game which has problems with Indivision.
You can check this title too: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=117457 Problem looks similar for me. Other Indivision problem is mentioned here: https://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p...&postcount=258 |

Thanks, this seems to explain it. So I must see if it's important enough to ask in the Icomp forum or even to ask the author of the WHDLoad slave for fixing that address range $00dffxxx access.
