Connecting Amiga 1200 to Hantarex Polo/3 Arcade Monitor
Hi All.
I have just purchased an Hantarex POLO/3 21" 15kHz Monitor for use in a JAMMA cab project. As its a 15khz monitor i was wondering if its also possible to hook my Amiga 1200 upto it? Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks for any help

It sounds suitable. Does it have a 15-pin VGA connector?
If it does, an Amiga RGB to VGA adapter should be all you require to get it connected. |

Unfortunatley not. It only has a direct connection labeled in the operating mannual as R, G, B, Earth, Vert Synch, Horiz Synch

If those inputs are compatible with the Amiga's Video port outputs, then they are available from the 23-pin D-type Monitor output. Digital and Analog RGB outputs are provided as well as Horizontal and Vertical Sync.

It should work fine since it's a 15kHz "CGA" arcade monitor.
For the life of me I don't understand why the arcade folk have to call lo-res arcade monitors CGA.. Groan. |
