Different Versions from Targhan (Silmarils)...

Hi,

I just posted that info some years ago in the german a1k, but when I scan the Box from Sword & Magic Compilation I remembered it.

There are existing three slightly different Version from the Game Targhan.

The First original release from Silmarils started with an Intropicture,to start the game you have to press "SPACE" and after that there come the password protection from the Manual.

The Budget Version which is in the Action Pack from Action Sixteen
starts also with Intropicture, to start the game you have to press here "?"
and there in no password protection, anymore.

The Budget Version from Prism Leisure in the Hits for Six Compilation and also in the Sword and Magic Box did not start with a Intropicture.
There was just the Name TARGHAN as Intro, thjen you can start the Game with press "SPACE" and there is no password protection.

I just make a copy of my puicture from my a1k Thread...

I have 5 releases of Targhan:

Action Sixteen in Square Jewel Case, has title screen, longtrack protection, press '?' to play and works with 512kb RAM

Action Pack (Action Sixteen) boxed, has title screen, longtrack protection, press '?' to play and works with 512kb RAM

Gainstar boxed, has title screen, longtrack protection, press 'space' to play and works with 512kb RAM

PC Hits boxed, no title screen just TARGHAN, no protection tracks (unformatted), press 'space' to play and only seems to load with 1mb chip!

Triple Action 3 (Compilation) boxed, no title screen just TARGHAN, no protection tracks (unformatted), press 'space' to play and only seems to load with 1mb chip!

I just not checked the disk copy protection but it seems they splitted the three versions on many different boxes.

Strange why the versions with just TARGHAN for the title screen need 1mb chip?
