Bromigo!
Try contacting Ian @ Mutant Catterpillar if in the U.K

Also how do you know it’s the card etc..? I take it you’ve tried hooking it up to a A600 or A1200 and using a good 12 volt external PSU?

Just to add, check out this thread as well for drivers;

the amiga 1200 works fine with a pcmcia2cf adapter and a network pcmcia card.
i have a 12v psu and when plugged in the power leds on the amiga dont light until the power is shutoff then they flash.
i opened the unit to find the wires butchered but they are all repaired now.
the 74ls254 has been socketed and replaced.
if i remove the 22000uf cap from the 5v line the system powers upas well as the drive but the drivers of which i have tried most versions up to v11.0 fail to see the unit.
i am getting 5v from the pcmcia connector to the unit when the cap is removed.
the cap tests fine when out of circuit.
i dont have any 22000 but i tried a 33000uf with the exact same result.
i may end up opening the pcmcia adapter and check there is nothing damaged in it but very very carefully.
i am awaiting another one from a swap and if its the ide one i can test the various combos.

it would be great to get both working then i can have one on my 600 and one on my 1200 and scsi on my 500 and 2000

Ah okay Mang! Just be careful as the double speed drive used in the Archos is a non-atapi Mitsumi FX drive. I.e before CD drives started out without a master, slave, CS jumper on the back.

the drive in this unit is a mitsumi x4 ide drive not the proprietary units in the early models.
when the 22000uf cap is removed and the system boots then drive can be heard reading the disk thats in there.
the unit has the master/slave/cable select jumpers on it and a sticker on the bottom from manufacture saying archos so its original and its never been pealed off.
this is the IDE version of the archos overdrive cd
