Alien Breed SE 92

I've read somewhere that "Alien Breed SE 92" is impossible to complete because there is a bug on one of the levels - very narrow corridor blocking our way. The only solution to pass this corridor is using a cheat disabling collision detection.

Is that true?

That's caused by a bad crack, the original doesn't have this issue.

Either it's the Ministry or Fairlight crack, can't remember.

All I know is that the original and WHD version installed from original ipf images work.
Perhaps the Flashtro crack works ?
Clicky.

Interesting... if Fairlight did crack, do you think Galahad would be able to fix?

For what i remember the Fairlight crack booted randomly during game. Just checked it, my cracked floppy is the Ministry one. I never encountered the random boot issue but i didn't finish the game, so i can't affirm it works 100%.

there is no need to use any crack in this game
alien breed SE 92 can be converted to floppy disks to the original state which uses rob norton protection
you can do it using the program WWARP
perhaps the program POWERCOPY will work as well

Alien Breed SE 92 use the RNC serial track protection.

This protection can't be written back with WWARP on a regular Amiga drive.

The only RNC protection supported by wwarp is the RNC protected dos format.

this protection can be written back by wwarp, because it shortens the GAP size between the sectors of each track.

Powercopy can copy the RNC serial only from disk to disk, not from disk image to disk.

I made images years and eons before you even appeared on this forum

Alien Breed SE 92 is using the usual RNC copylock serial track, and this is a track that WWARP can't copy.

So stop posting wrong informations and bullshiting about me, no one can write with a standard amiga drive the RNC copylock track !

Not you or anybody else ! End of discussion !

WWARP can only copy back RNprotected dos track as used on Alien breed tower Assault, Superfrog, Alien Breed 2, Mortal Kombat I & II, Primal Rage.

The proof you're wrong down there :

I seem to remember an Amiga Action coverdisk around early 1993 contained a fix for Alien Breed. You had to run the patch and insert your game disk. Not sure if this was to do with the game being impossible to complete though. I can't see any mention of it on the magazine covers on AMR.

Possibly, a fix which was maybe patching the copylock routine, allowing to copy or install on hard drive the game.

But then wwarp use is rendered kinda useless. Any copy tool from back in the day would have then suffice to replicate the disk.
