What Was Your Favourite AMOS Instruction?
I still have great memories of that beautiful manual that came with AMOS. (before it was ring bound). It really explained everything and pretty amazing that AMOS had automatic multiplexing for sprites. Seemed like a lot of pro games at the time didn't even use sprites!
My favourite instruction : Autoback 0 Forgot exactly what it does now - but I think it turned off the automatic screen swapping and maybe also the background replacing for the BOBs. I do remember when I first used it made me feel like a pro and that I was fully in control of what the program was doing. Every program after that was much easier to make and I never used Autoback 2 again! What's your favourite instruction and why? |

Flash Off as it was really annoying that colour 1 is changing values by default.

I remember the smell of that manual more than its contents. Used to flick through the pages right under my nose!
Boom was my favorite instruction. More languages should have built-in sound effects. |

I bought AMOS when it had the ring-bound manual. What exactly was wrong with it? I'd say it was easier to use, surely?

Ringbound was good too - and more practical but the original looked a lot better (Although not for long admittedly). |
