A600 case trimming - tools/methods
I'm planning to trim the rear of the case (probably along the top of the Monitor output) to allow a CF card to be inserted/removed without opening the case.
I know I could just get stuck in, but would be interested to hear about your exploits first (I've just spent about 6 weeks bleaching the thing, so there's very little room for error!). @Zetr0 - your A600 mods are fantastic - any tips? Did you split your IDE cables yourself? |

Yep....these tips are from Flux Master Z himself......and they work.
Stick it in the freezer before using a Dremel to carefully cut the slot. The plastic won't melt so fast and wrap around the cutting disc as you cut. Use white insulation tape to mark out the slot and as you cut, the burrs don't stick to the rest of the case. Cut the slot undersize and then finish with a small file and 1200 grit sandpaper for that Zetr0 smoothness..... |

I don't mind to crack open my Amigas from time to time. Pleasures of retr0holic addiction...
I wonder if one of my Amigas have the screws to close their cases... |
