But the "respawning extra lives" unfortunately make this not very suitable for competition.

Which level? Maybe that explain why I lost last time we had this game in competition?

In levels 2, 3 and 7 I found a block that yields an extra life. When you die you can get the extra life again. Thus score leeching is possible.

Yes, there should be no problem as there are a lot of games where you can score leech. We just trust each other not to do it.

But for this game it's likely someone will leech a bit without doing it on purpose. He might repeatedly fail in level 3 but always get the extra life again to retry and by this improving his score.

The game becomes too difficult for me with the tree stage, I failed at the jump over the creeping space Ships, where you dont have to touch the water above you. So this is my final score.

You can just lure them all to the left and then walk without any danger to the right once they're gone.

Last time I played I scored 166,516 pitty I can't use that score. At least I have recorded it on my YT channel.
