Resolution autoswitch doesn't work reliably

it seems that resolution autoswitch (including VGA mode res autoswitch) doesn't always detect resolution changes.

Specifically, with Workbench set to 1024×768 HighGFX mode, on viewing a 640×512 (PAL) image using MultiView the resolution sometimes doesn't change from superhires (needed for WB) to hires.

If you bring Workbench to the front and send it to the back several times, you should see that sometimes the resolution change is detected, sometimes it isn't.

Bootable disk with example image attached. Boot using an ECS config with resolution autoswitch enabled, window size at least ~1080x800.

Fixed. It forgot to set "config was modified" variable which sometimes (timing dependant) caused config system to not notice pending resolution change.
