Wanted - IDE Cable for my A4k

Hey All!

I tried putting a DVDRW in my A4k last night but the problem I am having is that the two connections for IDE devices are too close to each other so I can't get them connected up as well as the HDD/CF.

Does anyone have a better cable they could send me? I've got kazillions of PC IDE cables but they're no good because they have one pin blanked out so I can't use them

Connect it in the wrong direction, i.e. the red line of the short end of the cable to pin 40 of the motherboard connector, then the middle connector to the HDD (with the red line connected to pin 40) and the long end of the cable to the DVD drive (red line to pin 40).

Just drill a hole into the connector where the one is missing.

Thanks for the advice, but there is only 2inch between the connectors so even the wrong way round wont give me enough room.

Good tip though with the PeeCee connectors, didn't think of that
