Update:
I just played the RTG version myself in fullscreen through some of the second episode and didn't have any input issues, maybe it's a Vampire related issue (which I won't be fixing). Last edited by NovaCoder; 07 April 2022 at 06:06. |

No such issue, I have played this from start to end on a few different systems a couple of those with the various Vampire cards! not one issue.

It is not a Vampire issue, it is issue specially with AGA version and less with RTG version. I have this same issue with Blizzard and Apollo accelerators.

Yep very strange, not sure why it was doing this when you changed screen resolution but it seems to be fixed with my new release. I also added OGG/WAV music support to the AGA release.

are you trying the Aga or RTG version? Maybe try aga if you are having trouble with the RTG version, that will tell you if it's having trouble opening an RTG screen mode. You must have a 320*200 8 bit screen mode available for RTG I think. Also you need a working ahi setup so check that too. [ Show youtube player ] |

Snoopdos told me some GFX mode isn't default.
But.. When I run RTG mode in OS, then I triggered Duke binary, the game starts well! |

Hey all!
I've having some issues getting this to run on my A1200 with TF1260 and 128MB RAM. I have the relevant libraries and files in place for the game, but when I try to launch it, I get the following message: "AmiDuke Program failed (error #8000000B). Wait for disk activity to finish." Does anybody have a solution for this? Thanks! |

Do you have an FPU?

No worries. I did compile a version that didn't need an fpU years ago, someone might still have a copy. The current version requires an fpu and 060 (I found out that it increases performance). |

Thanks for the reply! Here's hoping that someone has a non-FPU version.

Upgraded the RTG version of AmiDuke from 1.0.09 to the latest 1.0.33, which led to the introduction of two bugs not existing before:
1. The "3D Realms" screen is no longer shown, it just stays black for 10 seconds instead. 2. On a level-change, the "Entering ..." screen does not fade in. It is visible, but only very, very dark. //edit: both bugs are present in 1.0.20 already. Last edited by derSammler; 05 September 2023 at 21:07. |

Stop finding bugs
I'm too busy to do much Amiga coding these days but I'll take a quick look when I have time. I think these are probably related to some performance optimisations that I did last year. |

No, I even have more for you.
Both mouse and sound option screens have a phantom option at the end. No idea what it does, if anything. Also, it seems AmiDuke is not removed from memory when quitting the game and returning to workbench. I noticed that after wanting to downgrade from 1.0.33 to 1.0.20 in order to see if the bugs were there already. But it did not let me, telling me "AmiDuke" is in use. So I had to reboot the system. |

Oh dear
I'm not surprise though, AmiDuke is based on the original Build engine which is a horrible mess. |
