A3000D Rubber Feet

Hi

Not sure what happened but my A3000 is missing some of its rubber feet so it isn't sitting nicely on my desk.

If push comes to shove I guess I can go to the hardware store and try to get a new set and replace all that is there so that they look the same but it would be nice if possible to get a replacement that is a very good match.

Would anyone have any ideas what Commodore would have used (I imagine it would have been as low cost as possible back in the day)

Depending on date of manufacture, the A3000 could have either rubber feet or cork mat feet. If you can find a thin piece of cork mat, you can cut out matching feet.

The feet on my A3000D are circular and made of cork. 40mm diameter and 4mm deep.

Unfortunately my A3000 feet are rubberized rather than cork - I have attached a photo of one that had fallen off.

Interestingly it has a hole in the middle with a countersink, most likely for a screw attachment (however this was attached to the case by glue)

The dimensions are 18mm wide, about 5.5mm high, the hole is about 3mm wide.

I didn't have this from new, so does this sound like something Commodore used or perhaps someone installed themselves?

That doesn't look stock to me. I have black rubber feet on my A3000's but I think they are solid, with no opening in the centre.

I have since replaced mine with alternate rubber feet I got from a local electronics store.

Thanks for the responses - since these don't appear to be factory installed feet It looks like replacing like for like isn't important.

I'll see what my local hardware shop has that might do the trick.

Mine A3000 is definitely cork feet type... Being on your place i would use some door stopper self adhesive rubber pads as new foot - they are available in various shapes, sizes and colors and relatively cheap. Look at the Amazon there is many of such things...
