Fried ACA 500 plus

Did this a while back inserting it wrong way into my A1000 (don’t!)

I contacted Jens and his reply if I sent back :

“Installing the unit the wrong way round kills the data-CPLD, and the two
chips on the DisMo. We replace the DisMo and exchange the 9572 Xilinx chip.

Replacing the CF card slot is tedious work, but since you're honest
about the cause of the failure, there will be no extra cost for
diagnosis. My guess is that it's in the 60-70 EUR range (plus tax and
shipping). I can only give an educated guess, as we can only say what
the cost is when the unit passes QC again.”

Fair enough but who knows what other costs from third parties

So is this worth anything or could I even learn on my own with this to try to fix?
Long shot but what the heck.

You'd need the code to program the CPLD which Jens is not likely to give you, so sending it to him is probably your only option.
