Scanline opacity is not changed

Hi Toni,

I am using the DamienD's collection and I load the games with my own host screen/filter configuration via the special "autoload" checkbox.

Specially, one of my changes in that "autoload" configuration is that the "scanline opacity" setting which DamienD has set at 50%, I set at 0% thus disabling it.

Well, everything is right except that the scanline opacity is not changed by the autoload mechanism. All other options seems to load o.k.

Could you take a look at it?

@DamienD: when I have this resolved I will give my greetings to you in the collection main thread.

Thanks.

Heya Leandro Jardim,

If you don't like scanlines then why don't you just turn them off in all configuration files via Notepad++?

Instructions in this post

Instructions:

Extract the archive to your Configurations folder, start WinUAE, go to Host panel/tab, select "Fullscreen [vsync] [A1200 audio filter]" and click on "autoload" to enable the mechanism.

Restart WinUAE, select the Alien Breed configuration, click "load" button and look at the "scanline opacity" option on the Filter panel/tab which is at 50% but it instead should be at 0%.

@DamienD: I wish to change a lot of display options DamienD. I even tried to use Notepad++ but in the end I messed up a lot of things and had to start again!

If you check the config file, you'll notice that required config entry is missing ("gfx_filter_scanlines=0"). Not all config entries are saved if value is default. It keeps config file smaller.

It causes unfortunate side-effect in this situation.. Add it manually to fix it.

Yup, when I've set scanlines these are the configuration lines that get adjusted:
gfx_filter_scanlines=50

or

gfx_filter_scanlines=25
...so as Toni says; to turn them off you need to set gfx_filter_scanlines=0 for all; which is what this post shows you how to do across all configuration files very quickly
